Runner
Runner is a war rug installation made in Ptuj, Slovenia, in the Castle at the top of the hill in this former Roman outpost called Poetovia.

The installation was part of the international exchange exhibition Summer Summit, curated by Vesna Rebernak of LIPA. During the exhibition, an actual Summit was convened by the Slovenian President in the Soldier's Hall, and the artwork was covered with a sheet of glass and bordered by lilies to decorate it and mask the smell of the spices.

The Rug depicts AK-47s surrounding tanks, mines, grenades, helicopters and other weapons. It is said that rugs with a pattern in which small arms predominate were woven by women with Mujahedeen soldiers in their family.

Two prints were made of the installation at the conclusion of the exhibition.
